Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial art artist that is competing with her country in UFC for the Flyweight Division, is now participating. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and previous UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sports journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko did well in the competition and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a the unanimous vote. Antonina was able to follow it up, and won a silver medal in 2007, and a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 as well as the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in 2003 and won an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Keskikangas of the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina shevchenko made her debut in a professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova in KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She won the fight via second round TKO and then won the next two bouts at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. Her record was of 3-3-0. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA in order to focus on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision, after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina knocked out Nievera using her impressive strike power in the clinch by knees to body. The result was that Antonina got an UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters' finale in which she was fought against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight, after winning her first fight via unanimous decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to beat Lucie Pudilova in the rear with a choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Katlyn Cookagian, and beat Ariane Lipski's three bouts.
